Green Threads supports the Veteran Affairs IAM program and it's integrations with over 1000 consuming services and applications. Our work is impactful to the over 450,000 internal VA users and over 18 million veterans and their caregivers. An example of this includes the integration with Login.gov to improve VA customer experience and service delivery with improved sign-in options, and is highlighted in a White House fact sheet released December 13, 2021.
As referenced in the Federal IT Operating Plan, Veteran Affairs is modernizing the current fragmented sign-in experience for veterans by allowing eligible veterans to digitally access benefits and services more reliably and securely with Login.gov. Green Threads is supporting Login.gov adoption through provision of seamless transition options for existing users.
Veteran Affairs is improving veterans’ access to safe, affordable housing. Green Threads played a role through enablement of new and secure access pathways to the SQUARES application for Homeless Services Providers.
Green Threads led the planning and execution of migrating Veteran Affairs IAM program from a 3rd party datacenter to the secure VA Enterprise Cloud. Our efforts were showcased in VA's 2018 year in review and ultimately led to approximately $11M cost avoidance annually. It is referred to as the "poster-child ... to convince customers about the benefits of cloud migration".
